Meet Rise Up Roses

Our Mission

Rise Up Roses is a nonprofit organization that helps caregivers and children by providing mindfulness tools through movement so they experience a stronger belief in themselves, emotional regulation, inner awareness, and transformation in their overall health.

Our Story

Rise Up Roses began as a free podcast, A Calm Kid, created during the COVID-19 pandemic as a mindful tool for caregivers and kids. What started as a simple resource has blossomed into a powerful movement. Today, our programs like Rise Up & Shine, Rise & Thrive, and Breathe & Believe, along with our professional development sessions, are making a positive impact in 3 school districts around Richmond, Virginia.

Our vision is to expand our reach by becoming a Tier 1 intervention for kids nationwide, equipping every student and caregiver with essential mindfulness tools. Additionally, we aim to empower more caregivers, teachers, and parents through workshops and classes, providing them with the skills needed for movement, self-regulation, and inner awareness. Together, we can foster better mental, emotional, and physical health for all.
